Ivy Negre
"Conventionality is the refuge of a stagnant mind".
Ivy has an extensive background in the performing arts. A graduate from Newtown High School of the Performing Arts and Brent Street Studios, her major theatrical credits include: Disney’s The Lion King and Cameron Mackintosh’s Miss Saigon. She also starred as Danielle Clarks in the film, ‘Razzle Dazzle, A Journey Into Dance’. She thinks her epithet should read: perennial traveler, musical theatre fanatic and XTEND enthusiast. Ivy can’t wait to meet you at the barre!
Studio(s) I teach at
My signature move
It would have to be glute-focused (of course!); a sideseries at the barre transitioning to a juicy foldover (bonus burn with the 'stretch-band of death').
Members would describe me as
A pocket rocket with questionable/nonexistent "counting" abilities (I said 8 more... but the masochist in me didn't say it was a long 8 oops!).
Song that makes me move
Ludovico Einaudi for a cinematic experience or the entire musical score from 'Hamilton'.
Something on my bucket list
To finally check off the 'Traveler's Seven' / complete my "continental bucket-list" and sail a polar expedition to the Antarctic!
